The Stages of Sleep EP

Peck The Stages are one of the most compelling live bands of the Bay Area. Like a dark, passionate, polyrhythmic Latin-tinged Radiohead. But that description doesn't do them justice. Their new album is full of crazy instrumentation, totally beautiful. It's called "Carousel"...I own it on CD, but not on Bandcamp. Favorite track: Old Girl.

The Stages of Sleep is best described as experimental/alternative gypsy rock. Heavily influenced by such bands as Radiohead, The Gipsy Kings, Emily Wells, 2 Foot Yard to name a few, the end result of their eclectic sound could be characterized as “Indie Gipsy-Rock.” The band members, however, prefer to say that their music encompasses and defines a “cross-genre” style of music. The main cast of The Stages of Sleep originates from the San Francisico Bay Area, with collaborative efforts from additional artists around the country.

The Stages of Sleep's debut album 'Carousel' will be out December 7th 2012.
